Some people may say that it’s a little late to start new goals 3 months into the new year but its never too late! The last 3 months have been a whirlwind of an adventure all in itself. I have travelled South-East Asian and most importantly survived. I have finally learnt how to take care of my money better (believe me this is an essential adulting skill). And I have learnt to appreciate what I have more. So what next?
Starting and working on something new doesn’t have to wait for the new year! Every day is a new day, hence, why I decided to start a blog in almost April (never too late guys!). In essence, it’s just about planning out and seeing how you can improve to be your own better person each and every day. Set yourself out a little plan of things you’ve always wanted to do, give it a time scale and try to do one thing at a time. Remember, don’t overload yourself because you’ll end up giving up on the list and not making it any fun!
Secondly, make sure you do your research! Want to join a sport that you have always wanted to do, do a road trip or start writing a book? Don’t follow through with he said, she said kind of attitude, at the end of the day everyone is an individual so what may work for you may not work for someone else. There are so many search tools out there now to find what best suits you. Try a couple of things and keep an open mind before! When you find something that suits you, odds are that you’ll end up falling in love with it and making time for it.
Lastly, nothing comes easy and without initiative. Living a busy “modern life” can make things harder of course. But remember, if you don’t make time for the things you love, who else will? Put down your phone for five minutes and do what you enjoy, starting now.
Lots of love,
